Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol is a natural antioxidant extracted from the seeds of the Psoralea Corylifolia (Babshi) plant. While it has a completely different chemical structure than Vitamin A (retinol), molecular profiling shows that it interacts with the exact same topical pathways in the skin. It triggers upregulation of types I and IV collagen and stimulates cellular turnover. The result? Firmer, smoother skin, a visible reduction in fine lines, and a more even skin tone—minus the harsh “retinol purge” or peeling phase.

Smooths fine lines and plumps skin, fades hyperpigmentation, deeply nurtures, calms and soothes, minimizes redness and breakouts.

Copper Peptide

GHK-CU, the cellular architect.

Naturally occurring complexes that play a crucial role in skin health. They act as “signaling peptides,” essentially telling your skin cells to behave like younger versions of themselves.

When applied to the skin, they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin while removing damaged collagen tissue.

Glycerin

Glycerin is a humectant that attracts and binds water from the environment and deeper skin layers into the stratum corneum, increasing hydration and improving skin elasticity and softness. It supports barrier function by helping maintain proper moisture levels, which reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and can make skin more resilient to irritants. Glycerin is non-comedogenic and generally well tolerated by most skin types including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Beyond hydration, glycerin has soothing and reparative effects: it promotes natural desquamation (skin shedding) for smoother texture and can enhance the penetration and stability of other actives, helping them perform better. Glycerin is a foundational ingredient in barrier-supportive routines that prioritize long-term skin health.

Niacinamide

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a versatile, well-tolerated skincare ingredient prized for its ability to strengthen the skin barrier, regulate oil production, and reduce inflammation. It helps boost ceramide and free fatty acid synthesis, which improves hydration and resilience, and its antioxidant properties protect against environmental stressors. Because it works at multiple levels—barrier repair, sebum control, and inflammation modulation—niacinamide pairs well with many actives and is suitable for a wide range of skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Regular use of niacinamide can visibly reduce redness, minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, and even out skin tone by inhibiting pigment transfer and supporting barrier repair. Over time it can improve texture and radiance while making skin more tolerant to stronger actives. We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring humectant that attracts and holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making it a powerful hydrator in skincare. In topical formulations it exists in different molecular weights: high–molecular-weight HA sits on the surface to provide immediate plumping and barrier support, while low–molecular-weight and hydrolyzed forms penetrate more deeply to increase hydration within the epidermis. Because it’s biocompatible and non-irritating, HA pairs well with most active ingredients and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

The effects of hyaluronic acid on the skin include improved moisture retention, temporary softening of fine lines, and a smoother, more supple appearance. By reinforcing hydration, HA supports the skin’s barrier function, which helps reduce transepidermal water loss and increases tolerance to stronger actives over time. Regular use enhances skin resilience and gives an immediate visible boost in plumpness and radiance without altering skin physiology.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is a rich, natural fat extracted from the nuts of the African shea tree. It contains a unique blend of fatty acids—primarily stearic and oleic acids—along with vitamins A and E and plant sterols, which give it excellent emollient and occlusive properties. These components help replenish lipids in the skin, strengthen the skin barrier, and provide antioxidant benefits that protect against environmental stressors.

When applied, shea butter deeply hydrates and softens dry or rough skin by sealing in moisture and reducing transepidermal water loss. Its anti-inflammatory and soothing qualities can calm irritation, support barrier repair, and improve skin texture over time. Because it’s heavy and richly textured, it’s best used as a last-step moisturizer on dry areas or at night, and those with very oily or acne-prone skin may prefer lighter formulations or spot use.

Gluconolactone - a PHA

Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) prized in skincare for its gentle exfoliating and humectant properties. Larger molecular size than AHAs means it penetrates more slowly, reducing irritation while still promoting cell turnover. It also binds water, helping to attract and retain moisture at the skin’s surface, and chelates metal ions to stabilize formulas and protect against oxidative damage. Because it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory characteristics, gluconolactone is suitable for sensitive, rosacea-prone, or barrier-compromised skin.

On the skin, gluconolactone smooths texture and refines pore appearance without the stinging or peeling often associated with stronger acids. Regular use supports improved hydration, softer fine lines, and a more even tone as it gently sloughs away dead cells and encourages renewal. Its mildness allows it to be combined with stronger actives in a routine—or used alone for those rebuilding barrier function—making it a versatile ingredient for promoting healthier, more resilient skin.

Mushroom extracts

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) extract is prized in skincare for its adaptogenic and antioxidant properties. Rich in polysaccharides, triterpenes, and peptides, reishi helps protect skin from oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals that accelerate aging. Its anti-inflammatory compounds soothe irritation and redness, making it helpful for sensitive or reactive skin types and for calming post-treatment inflammation. Reishi also supports skin barrier function by promoting hydration and encouraging cellular repair, which can improve texture and resilience over time.

Truffle Cream

Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) extract is prized in skincare for its rich profile of polysaccharides, particularly beta-glucans, which help support the skin’s barrier function and boost hydration by attracting and retaining moisture. Its antioxidant compounds—including phenols and flavonoids—scavenge free radicals, reducing oxidative stress that contributes to premature aging and loss of elasticity. Turkey Tail also contains prebiotic components that can help balance the skin microbiome, supporting a healthier surface environment and reducing inflammation. Because of these combined humectant, antioxidant, and microbiome-friendly properties, Turkey Tail is often used in formulations aimed at improving resilience, soothing sensitivity, and promoting a plumper, more hydrated complexion.

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) extract brings a complementary set of skincare benefits driven by its high levels of kojic acid precursors, vitamins (notably B vitamins), and polysaccharides like lentinan. These constituents can help brighten uneven skin tone by inhibiting melanin overproduction and supporting gentle exfoliation, while the B vitamins contribute to cellular metabolism and barrier repair. Shiitake’s antioxidants—such as ergothioneine—provide targeted protection against environmental stressors, helping preserve collagen and prevent inflammation-driven aging. Lightweight and noncomedogenic, Shiitake extracts promote smoother texture, more even tone, and improved overall skin health without compromising hydration.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil (technically not an oil but a wax ester) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic oil whose molecular structure closely resembles human sebum, which makes it exceptionally compatible with the skin. It is rich in long-chain fatty acids and esters, primarily eicosenoic acid (a monounsaturated fatty acid), along with natural antioxidants like vitamin E and trace minerals. These components give jojoba oil excellent emollient properties: it forms a breathable, protective layer that helps lock in moisture without clogging pores, so it hydrates and softens skin while maintaining a balanced skin surface. Its mild, stable nature also resists rancidity, making it a gentle option for sensitive or reactive skin and a reliable carrier for active ingredients.

When incorporated into skincare routines, jojoba oil supports the skin barrier and helps regulate oil production by signaling to sebaceous glands that the skin is adequately moisturized, which can reduce excess shine and help prevent breakouts. Its anti-inflammatory and soothing qualities can calm redness and irritation from dryness, environmental stressors, or routine treatments, improving overall skin comfort and resilience. Because it enhances skin hydration and barrier function without causing congestion, jojoba oil is versatile across skin types—from dry and mature to combination and acne-prone—making it a practical step for healthier, more balanced skin.
